Back Door Boba, Baby |
My co-workers and I have an expensive (yet tasty) habbit of taking a walk in the afternoons to a fabulous merchant of Boba off Wilshire Blvd. It's called Back Door Boba. Aside from the tasty beverages, I personally like to check in on the 'back door boba boys' -- you know, just to make sure everything's going alright. It is essential that humans who are forced to work in an office for eight hours a day have the opportunity to take a walk in the mid-afternoon California sun. It helps keep me from cat-napping at my desk, encourages comraderie and facilitates smoking. Speaking of smoke ---
Today's smog outlook is considerably more favorable than my last post. Although this is a different vantage point, one can still manage to see all the way to the hollywood/beverly hills today. The Hollywood sign is actually afixed to one of those mountains in the distance. By the way, over them thar' hills is what us locals call "The Valley." I am not sure which one. But, for you meterologically-inclined readers, you may be interested to know that the temperature in "the valley" is often in the trippple digits during the summer months -- whereas we hover around the mid-eighties here in the basin. All hail the Pacific Ocean's mighty breeze.
